The beta, the pricing, and what happens on 1 January 2027

MOVON is in free beta. Here is who can use it, what it costs now, and what changes when the free window ends.
Getting in
Anyone. Download the installer from /download, sign in with your email, and start matching. No card, no invite code, no queue.
What the beta costs
Nothing. Every account gets 1000 matched clips a month, free. The count resets each month; unused credits do not carry over. Exporting a finished match is always free and does not spend credits.
No watermark on anything you make. Work you match during the beta keeps working after it.
The beta is not a crippled trial. It is the real product, free while we finish it, in exchange for your feedback when a match misses.
What changes when the free window ends
The free window runs through December 31, 2026. Paid plans start on 1 January 2027. Pricing is per matched clip, not per seat: a monthly allowance of matched clips, starting at $20 a month for 2,000 matched clips a month. Full plans on the pricing page.
Three plain facts about the plans:
- One clip matched spends one clip from the month's allowance.
- The allowance resets each month.
- Exporting stays free, always.
Nothing else changes that day. Same product, same account, same Looks, same matches.
Founding rates
Accounts that used MOVON during the beta keep founding rates on the paid plans. The exact rates are published before paid plans start. Beta accounts hear first. Beta accounts hear first, and nobody is ever charged for the free window.
Teams
The Studio plan shares one allowance across a team instead of charging per person. If your team's shape does not fit the published plans, say so through the Contact form while the structure is still being set.
