MOVON Labs keeps the cookie story short on purpose. This document lists every cookie used on movonlabs.com and what each one does.

Strictly necessary

Signing in to your account (email link or passkey) sets one httpOnly session cookie, so movonlabs.com remembers you're signed in. It carries no tracking data, cannot be read by any script, and only exists for signed-in visitors.

Analytics

movonlabs.com uses privacy-respecting analytics that does not set cookies. It only counts page views in aggregate. No individual visitor tracking, no fingerprinting, no third-party scripts.

Advertising and tracking

None. MOVON Labs sets no advertising cookies. No third-party trackers are loaded on the site.

Third-party cookies

None on movonlabs.com itself. If a visitor opens an embedded video from a third party (YouTube, Vimeo) inside a blog post, that third party may set cookies. The embed loads on click only, never automatically.

What this means for you

Signed out, there is nothing to consent to and nothing to opt out of: movonlabs.com sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Signing in sets the one strictly necessary session cookie above, which exists only to keep you signed in. The plugin itself sets no cookies of any kind.

If your Mac runs Premiere, it runs MOVON.

The heavy lifting happens on MOVON’s servers, not on your machine, so there is no extra hardware to buy. The docked panel sends only color data and brings back the finished match. Your footage never leaves your machine, only color data does.

A docked UXP panel on Premiere 25.6+, with a CEP-panel fallback for earlier versions. DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro come next, same engine.

macOS 13+ (Apple Silicon or Intel)

No GPU or RAM requirement beyond Premiere's own: if your Mac runs Premiere, it runs MOVON. macOS-only for the private beta; Windows follows after launch.

Runs on MOVON's servers

MOVON's AI computes the match on MOVON's servers. The plugin sends only the color data needed for the match; your footage, frames, and project never leave the Mac.

About · MOVON Labs

Who we are.

MOVON was built by two people: a filmmaker who spent fifteen years watching color eat the hours that belonged to the story, and an engineer who had spent those same years teaching machines to see. One lived the problem. The other could build the model to solve it. MOVON Match is what happened when they compared notes.

The founders

The filmmaker

Fifteen years in production as a one-man crew: producing, directing, shooting, then sitting down to cut it all. Hundreds of television episodes, documentaries filmed across different countries, and every stage in between. He knows exactly where color goes wrong in an edit, because for years it went wrong on his own timelines.

The engineer

An AI engineer who has worked on image processing and machine learning since university, building models that understand what a picture is made of. His career runs through some of the biggest names in imaging and streaming. He is the reason MOVON Match is a real model on a real server, not a filter with a clever name.

MOVON Labs ships color tools, and edits with them.

Sync and update errors now resolve themselves instead of repeating

fixA single corrupted record during Looks sync no longer blocks the rest of the sync. That record is skipped; everything else syncs normally.
fixThe background updater now reports file-permission problems clearly instead of failing silently.
improvedA persistent update blocker (like a missing system certificate) is reported once, not on every panel launch, until it's resolved.
fixA slow sign-in token refresh no longer locks up the rest of the panel.

A failed save is no longer reported as a success

fixIf a match fails to save, the panel now says so clearly instead of showing a false success message.
fixAn action on an inactive sequence card no longer affects a different open sequence.
fixAn interrupted group deletion no longer leaves the card out of sync with the real state.
fixA brief connection blip no longer lets cards from a different project appear, or get deleted, by mistake.
fix"Problem clip" warnings now persist correctly across a panel restart instead of disappearing.
fixA rare flash of stale card data on screen is gone.

Looks Library and the account menu fit at the panel's smallest size

fixAt the panel's minimum supported size, Looks Library content used to sit behind the toolbar and was nearly invisible. It now measures the real toolbar height and stays clear of it.
fixThe account menu could overflow the bottom of the panel at that same small size. It now scrolls within itself, so items like sign out stay reachable.

Dragging the app to Trash now uninstalls it cleanly
